In 1969 Howard developed The Caboose, a successful railroad-themed restaurant, in Orlando, FL. In 1972 he began his commercial real estate development career, specializing in office development in the Central Florida area. Howard was challenged by his business partner in 1974 to study the Scriptures to discover what God’s Word teaches about handling money.

Following a profound life-change, the Lord gave Howard a passion to share these life-changing principles with others. He wrote Your Money: Frustration or Freedom, and for 10 years he invested about 30 percent of his time doing further research, writing, and conducting financial seminars for churches. He also is the author of Your Money Counts, Free and Clear, Your Money Map, and Crown’s Small Group Studies.

Howard graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in 1967 and then served two and one-half years as a naval officer. Howard married Beverly in 1971 and they have two children: Matthew (married to Michelle) and Danielle (married to Kyle Hasbrouck). Howard and Beverly reside in Gainesville, Georgia

Prior to his work with EQUIP, Dr. Hull served congregations in the U.S. and Canada, most recently as Senior Pastor of the renowned Peoples Church in Toronto. Owing to his noteworthy skills as a communicator, John Hull is a featured speaker at numerous conferences, churches and global outreach events. He also participates in leadership training venues on every continent.

John Hull is the host of Leadership Moment—a radio ministry of EQUIP now broadcast daily on over 1,100 outlets throughout the U.S. Leadership Moment was awarded "Radio Program of the Year-Short Form" by the National Religious Broadcasters Association. Hull also hosts The Global Stage, a quarterly audio interview featuring interviews with Christian leaders from around the world. In addition to his media ministry, Hull is the author of numerous articles and co-author of Pivotal Praying, an acclaimed book written with Tim Elmore.

Hull holds a degree in journalism and telecommunications from The University of Georgia, a Master of Divinity degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

John resides in Atlanta with his wife Sharon, and their two children, Andy and Mary Alice.
